Apple stuffing with pork chops.

Apple stuffing with pork chops

Tonight I took a half a loaf of bread and cut it up and put it in to the oven to toast up. While this is toasting I take 1 green apple and 1 red apple and dice them up, next in a pan put some chicken base, water, around 3/4 stick of real butter, garlic powder, parsley, pinch of sage, pinch of poultry seasoning.   I let it simmer while I prepared the chops sprinkled all of the same seasonings on them except I didn’t use the chicken base, instead I salted lightly.   Now the bread is all toasted up so I put it in to the biggest bowl I have so I can mix in some seasonings and broth.  I stir in the broth, almost all of it saving just a little for gravy (I didn’t need it though).  Once I got the broth mixed in to the bread and seasonings I added some dry minced onion, stir in well (ohh I used all the same seasonings in the stuffing as on the chops). I put chops in a pan after I sprayed with none stick spray. I make a gravy with the the left over broth and pour it over the chops then I our some of the gravy over the chops.  Now I mix the apples in to the stuffing and stir them in to get them mixed.  I plop it on top of the chops and then drizzle a little more gravy and covered with foil and baked @ 350 for around 40 minutes, removed foil and raised temp to 400 and let the top get nice, brown and bubbly. Made potatoes and got the apple sauce out.  Served it was yummy the animals were really wanting some!

Hum–was your kitty thinking of stealing some of your dinner before you got to it? I’m sure it would have been shared with your cat’s companion!
