A fishing we went in Daleville, AL

By MzBaker 14 Comments

So today we went fishing, we were supposed to go yesterday and did not get too.  Well I have to admit this was the first time I ever walked through a junk yard to get to the pond.  I used to fish every week, there was a time I fished at least 4 – 5 days if not more a week before my son was born and he’s gonna be ten next month. I haven’t fished but a couple times here in Alabama before we moved here and I was just  visiting family, I never caught anything though.  So when hubby told me, when he was at work his boss has a pond off to the side of his junk yard.  I was like and???? He goes on to tell me how he caught a 4 foot cat fish and that feeling came back.  I was like I want to go and it would be cool to take Leo too!  All the questions started! Is it cut and trimmed down, do we have to walk far, do we have to walk through any kind of roughage, I wont lie I wasnt ready for a hike!  He said it was cool no worries just a short walk about the size of our yard through a junk yard! LOL I took some photos of the junk yard too!  It’s located around the dirt road from here but its paved.

In the pictures you will see how bored Leo was, he hated it and didn’t wanna be there.  If he could have caught a fish then he would have had more fun.  Hubby took him and the dog home and came back for me we went home around a half hour later.  It started to rain a bit I wasn’t ready to go home.

Funny how you can get the urge to fish just from one little sentence, your son looks like he is having a great time, lol. Love the dog!

It’s been years since I last went fishing with my Dad. When he passed away, I never went again. Glad to see you caught some.

I love fishing with my siblings and Papa in the sea long time ago. Always fun to go home with or without fish. the experience to just see a large body of water is delightful.
