Holland House Red Cooking Wine Review!

Today we used the Holland House Red Cooking Wine in our homemade spaghetti sauce. I have to admit at first the smell of the sauce gave me a little scare, after the sauce cooked for hours it was beyond Delicious!

The smell was so good after the wine cooked in the sauce and my family loved it! I cannot give you the recipe to the sauce as it was one of my throw together dinner and I thought spaghetti-Red Wine-Why Not?

I have told all my friends and family how delicious the Holland House Cooking Wines are.  They smell like good wine and the results are so good!

If you haven’t tried Holland House Cooking Wines or haven’t cooked with wine before, I’d start with them, the bottles even have recipes.  When I made the Marsala Chicken I pretty much used the recipe on the bottle.

For our spaghetti I just made my own and went with what I felt, taking lots of sample tastes.  I also took a loaf of french bread and sliced it, buttered both sides and baked for a few minutes on 425 degrees, I flipped and sprinkled with seasoning salt.

It was a like eating a delicious gourmet meal!

The opinion voiced here are 100% my honest opinion and I received the Holland House Cooking Wine to do a review on it.

I haven’t actually heard of Holland House but I’ll check them out. I used to work in a kitchen where a fella had to be fired for DRINKING the cooking wine. Oh man…that guy.

I love to cook with wine! I use it all the time but I haven’t ever used Holland House before. I am certainly going to get some to try though.

I do not usually cook with wine–however I have seen Holland House wines and now may just try it on a spaghetti sauce! That actually sounds and looks good!

It’s nice that the bottle has a recipe. Definitely something that I would like to try as I have never tried cooking with wine before.

I love red wine in spaghetti sauce! I usually have an open bottle around since I like to sip a glass on occasion at night, but I buy white cooking wine since I rarely have white wine on hand. I will have to try Holland House’s and see if I like it better than the one I use now.
