I had the pleasure of receiving a generous package from Newman’s Own Organics to review.  I was so surprised when I first opened the package I couldn’t believe how much stuff came in this box.  We loved all of the items in the package, especially the Super Dark Chocolate Cups with Raspberry Centers! They were to die for, so good!  We had a several favorites out of this package.  

I’ll start with the one I just loved the most! The Super Dark Chocolate Cups with Raspberry Centers stood out the most to me upon opening, I almost couldn’t wait to look at the rest!  So, I thought I have to try these first out of the bunch.  These were very good the center was delicious!  The chocolate was rich and flavorful, it had that deep dark sweet, but not so sweet flavor.  They were PERFECT match together! Newman’s Own Organics really has the right idea about what I want, that’s for sure!

Before I could Photograph the Sour Mango Licorice that was gone!  It was absolutely delicious, so flavorful and it wasn’t sour to me it was sweet and tasty.  It was gone in mere seconds, No Joke!!  

Then there is the Double Chocolate Chip Cookies from their Family Recipe Cookies and WOW! These had a wonderful chocolate taste, not overly sweet and yet it totally filled my sweet tooth.  My son asked me all day long and the next, until they were gone “Can I have more chocolate cookies Mom, Please”.  They went fast the hubby loves cookies so these were right up his alley.  They were great by themselves as well as with milk.  This bag didn’t last a full 48 hours and were gone, including the crumbs and I still am not sure who ate those.  LOL 

Then there are the Fig Newman’s! They were absolutely perfect I am one who likes these little type of cookie thing, but I’m very picky.  However these were so good, they were the perfect texture not to grainy as so many are.  My son loves them and I like that, I think they are better than cookies when they want snacks.  He even dipped them in milk like they were cookies! 🙂 Must have been really good cause he wanted more.  He had to wait though because we have so many things to try over the next week or so.  I mean we could open them all and taste each one, but I didn’t want to do that.  I wanted to try each one and enjoy them, before opening another package of cookies.  

The Ginger Snap Cookies were so good I decided to make a delicious dessert with them.  I really loved the bite these cookies had so much that I thought what about ginger bread cheesecake and so I made it.  My son wasn’t very pleased that I took the cookies and put them in the food processor.  I was so surprised when I seen the ginger pieces right in the cookies I took one out and ate it, and it was so good!   I will be posting recipe here on Daleville Alabama Kitchens and linking it to this post.  I just have to write it up all up, because I did not use a recipe I just wrote down my amounts and what I used.   Here is a photo of my Ginger Bread Cheesecake. 

We also received a bag of Alphabet Cookies and let me just say NO one got any but my son and he let me have a couple! He said they were special just for him cause they had letters on them, and that meant they were for kids.  LOL Whatever kid eat the cookies lol although I did not allow him to eat them all at once, he would have if I let him.  A smile on a happy kids face is all I need!!

Another item my husband really loved and took right over was the Wintergreen mints.  I did get to try a few of them and they were really good.  I loved that I could tolerate the mint, a lot of the time the mints are so spicy, hot I cant take it.  These were perfect I want to order more of these for the hubby.  I like how they looked almost homemade and the fact they are organic is just the icing on the cake.  

Their sandwich cookies are so good.  I especially love the chocolate cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies! I’m a chocolate lover!  They were so good the chocolate inside was good I dipped my cookies in milk, that’s how I like this kind of cookie.  They were loved by every one in the house.  My husband and son both like vanilla a lot more than me and they killed the cookies!  No cookies remain in this house as of now!  All I can say is that means they were good and that’s all we want good organic yummy foods!

Little about Newman’s Own Organics (NOO)

Newman’s Own Organics: The Second Generation was started in 1993, by Nell Newman and her business partner Peter Meehan. They knew that there was a demand for Organic Items, but they never dreamed what just how high of a demand their was for Organic Items! So they went from starting with Pretzels to a full variety of Organic Products like, coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, organic dried fruit and even pet foods! I don’t think they plan to stop there either!

So one day Nell thought that it would be a great idea to have an organic division and so she asked her Dad in 1992. He said he would help cover a years cost for Nell and her Partner while they came up with their organic product line. They had to return the money so it could be added to the charity money. They were able to do this in a short time and they also became an independant company in 2001. This was their goal from the very start! They are putting out products that Paul Newman would be proud to be affiliated with!

Over the years their Organic Product Line has grown tremendously with excellent flavors and taste! Not to mention along with creating delicious Organic Products I love, they have made millions of dollars in donations to the The Newman’s Own Foundation for education and charitable organizations worldwide!
