Strawberry Banana Fruit Salad

So I wanted something sweet and tasty for a snack.  I didn’t want to eat just junk. So I made a Strawberry Banana Fruit Salad I have been trying to not eat so much junk and foods that aren’t good for me.  I need to make a change! I know this and I have to do it!  If I don’t I may not be here for that long, since I already have heart problems.  I do not mention these things very much because I don’t want to blab about it.  I do have some issues though, I have since I was around 13 or so.  I can’t remember if I was 12, 13 or 14 the first time I had the chest pain! I called my grandma in the middle of the night, back then we just assumed indigestion was the problem.  It took years for me to figure out that I have heart disease, enlarged heart and have had high blood pressure for years now!

I love to eat and make delicious foods.  I must admit I find it hard to eat the good stuff.  I hate most vegetables and most fruits.  That leaves me with very little to eat but crap! Right?

So when I needed to curve that snack craving, I remember a girl from when I was around 14 who would eat sour cream mixed with sugar!  She called it homemade yogurt lol.  Whatever I wouldn’t eat it like that, but I did think of doing something else.  I did this before once though with mango, strawberries, bananas and grapes.

Ingredients:
2 TBSP Low fat light sour cream
1 TBSP sugar
5 large strawberries
1 banana

Put you sour cream and sugar in a bowl first and stir well mixing the two ingredients well. Set aside and slice and dice the fruit. I basically tried to cube everything. Then mix the two together and stir until everything is coated.

It makes 3 small servings or 1 small serving and 1 large serving.

I hope you try this simple yet delicious dessert! I loved it and it worked beautifully for my craving of something sweet!

I have no problem in liking and eating fruits as long as fresh fruits! 🙂 I used condensed milk and nestle cream for my fruit salad. But, I would like to try the sour cream, it’s less expensive. And looks yummy, too! 🙂

If I would have had more of the fruits and veggies (fresh) I would probably like them more today. I am learning to like some when I decorate them with something else lol 🙂

Like you, I am eating more fruits and vegetables nowadays. Doctor’s advice too. I love the combination of strawberry and banana but like Healy I prefer putting some condensed milk and nestle cream.
