Countdown Rings!

There are a lot of ways to keep a little one excited about a holiday.  Most people use calendars and let them mark a day at a time off on it.   This is a Great Idea, but there are other neat ways too.  These Countdown Rings are a fabulous way to keep kids excited about a holiday or special occasion and it can help them with numbers and counting.  There is nothing more important than learning a lesson and having fun at the same time right?

In the photo above the rings are used for the last week or so before a young child’s birthday.  They used only the days of the week and the last ring being the birthday.   I love the rings idea it seems like an easy, but good way to keep up the daily countdown.

I love when they can do things that they enjoy or find more fun and when it’s a learning experience as well.   Another way you can do Countdowns is use a cork board or something you can tape up balloons.  Get some water balloons cause they are small and blow them up and write a number on each one.  You can put this in random order or in numerical order and let your child pop one a day.  They have to make sure they get the right number though!

What are some fun ways you like to countdown exciting events like holidays and birthdays with your kids?

I’ll make this count down rings for my girl’s birthday! Easy and fun to do, taking one ring everyday ’til the special day comes. 🙂
