Finding a Pet Hospital to Meet All of Your Needs

By MzBaker 1 Comment

Clinics, family veterinary facilities, hospitals and emergency clinics – there are many health care options to consider when choosing a care provider for your pet. When balancing your choices, consider a doctor and staff who can provide all of the services you need for your pet. No longer are the days when you have to go to a different facility for each service. Convenience is now the name of the game when it comes to high quality pet care. Do your research and you may be surprised to find offices with superb doctors who offer great hours and a wide range of amenities.

Hours and Conveniences

Your pet can get sick at any time. What happens if your dog eats that bar of chocolate on Sunday night? You can’t wait to have him seen the next day during regular business hours; it would be too late. Having a doctor that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is important to keep your pet safe. General care is important, but a pet hospital that has on-site surgery, ultrasound, and dental services is a way to ensure that your pet is able to have all of their needs met at a moment’s notice.

Above and Beyond

It’s important to trust your veterinarian. Once you find someone that you know will care for your pet as much as you do, hang on to them. Find a pet hospital that can meet more of your pet needs than just regular medical services. If you are going away for the weekend, find a facility that offers boarding for your pooch. They won’t be as lonely, and you won’t be as uneasy to leave them when you go because they will be around the doctors they trust. Look into other amenities that are offered, such as grooming services, which go beyond the normal doctor’s office routines. Why take your pet to a multitude of places if you can find one full-service location you trust that will treat you and your pet with compassion and care.

Non-Surgical Treatment

If you want to heal your pet’s pain, but don’t want to put them through the stress of a surgery, look for a provider that offers alternate veterinary medicine. Treatments such as acupuncture have been shown to successfully treat arthritis, hip dysplasia, nerve injury, and more. When performed by a specially trained veterinarian, these procedures can be safe and help your pet to heal by increasing circulation and releasing neurochemicals and endorphins to relieve pain and encourage your pet’s body’s defense mechanism.

Treatment at Every Developmental Stage

Puppies have different needs and ailments from mature dogs. Find a pet hospital that can give your dog the care it needs at every stage of life. Annual checkups, vaccinations, and flea and heartworm treatments are important throughout your pet’s life. While these may be some of the simple services that your pets need, each animal is unique and deserves individualized care. Meet with a doctor who will design a care plan specifically for your pet.

Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and their caring team of veterinarians are ready 24 hours a day to provide your pet with the necessary comprehensive and compassionate care.

My dog has been getting sick a lot lately and I need to find a medical service that is able to treat him. I like how you point out to consider finding a service that can perform non-surgical treatments. Sometimes surgery is probably necessary, but I know that it’s hard for dogs to recover quickly from surgery, so I’d rather it be as less as invasive as possible.
