Sweet Garlic Chicken Recipe!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I came across a recipe on facebook where someone made it and said it was disgusting.  First thing I seen was too much vinegar and I wouldn’t use soda pop.  Mine turned out great! Hubby loves it!

Here’s my recipe which is completely different than the one I found on facebook.

ingredients:

1 c orange juice
1 c water
1/2 jar apricot jam
1/4 each green, red, yellow and orange bell peppers (julienned)
1/4 diced small onion
1/4 c brown sugar
1 whole small garlic head minced
3 large boneless chicken breasts
1 tbsp cornstarch, mixed with 3 tbsp water adding near the end of the cooking time.
red pepper seeds
salt

directions:

put orange juice and jam in crock pot and stir until jam is dissolved. then put all in crock pot and cook all day or until meat shreds apart. Serve with egg noodles or rice and veggie medley!

Yummy! I don’t have a crockpot, but i am going to try making this in the oven in a few weeks.

Thanks 😉 it was delicious! I would make it in the oven too. I would bet it could be done in a nice thick dutch oven style pan on the stove top.

That really looks scrumptious and totally different. I will give it a try sometime.
