New Neighbor’s Farm He’s Out Tilling

Farmer out tilling his farmland!

Farmer's Field

Farmer’s Field

Today I noticed a sound rumbling getting closer and closer and thought what the heck is that?  I went to the kitchen window and I could hear but not see nothing yet.  I went to my sons room and there he was out there just turning that dirt over.  I think it’s pretty cool to live this close to a farm.  Although I’m unsure how it will affect our allergies later during the summer and fall months, we all have them pretty bad.  He had cotton out there this last year, so this time he’ll probably do peanuts.  I hear they have to rotate them because of Arsenic in the dirt.  I’m not too familiar with all that though, just as long as it doesn’t affect our well water.  Not sure about that, but I’m having it tested to see if there are any high levels of anything bad in it.  We have only drank bottled water for now,  although the hubby has been giving the pets the well water and they seem fine.  The landlord said the water was fine and we could switch to city water if we wanted.  He’d have to dig from the street to the house and put pipe under the ground.  If the well water is okay, I’d rather just stick with that.  I like not having another bill!

It’s cool. You should be fine. Just be sure that when he sprays for pesticides you shut your windows and bring in your critters.
