Baker’s Mat Review!

DSCF2354

First of all this is the first time I have used a silicone Baker’s Mat or anything in the oven.  I was completely amazed that I could put this piece of material in the hot oven!  So this mat came packaged nicely in a tight fitting box and was a great sized mat big enough to do several cookies on.  I only made six on the first go around because it was the first time I made the recipe that I used.

These cookies came out beautifully using this mat, they came right off of it with no issues sticking or anything.  I was really impressed with it and something else I loved is that it is called Baker’s Mat, it’s like it was made for me! 🙂

Let me add my normal cookie sheet which is a good brand, but it’s old these days, it makes the bottom of the cookies much darker and using this silicone Baker’s Mat made amazing cookie bottoms! Not too light, not too brown, I love my new Baker’s Mat!!

This would make a great gift for that Special Baking Mom for Mother’s day!  She can then bake you some tasty treats 🙂 then everybody wins!

You can get yourself one of these awesome Baker’s Mats over at BakersMat.com or on Amazon

Recipe for the cookies
Preheat oven 350 degrees
(this recipe may not sound correct because of no flour, butter and other stuff, but trust me it’s a great recipe)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda

mix ingredients until all are thoroughly incorporated and then spoon cookies out around 1 inch balls and take a fork and push into the cookie dough balls, then dip the fork in sugar and press into it again. sprinkle cookies with a little extra pinch of sugar if you like. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cookies cool before attempting to remove from pan or they may break! This isn’t your normal cookie and has to cool down some!

Enjoy, we sure did!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I need one of these for my cookies. I usually use paper towel to let them cool, ugh!! This one looks better and neat.
