Late Sunday Post of our Beautiful Country Yard!

Late Sunday Post of our Beautiful Country Yard!

On Sunday we spent part of it outside, it was beautiful out.  Well Leo didn’t want to come out he is a vampire and thinks he will melt in the sun.  He comes out but usually on less sunny days.  He burns pretty easy on his face too, even with spf 50 on.  It was really warm out on Sunday, but the hubby was cutting the grass and I just thought lets go get some photos of him out there riding his sexy tractor LMAO that’s a joke! He’s riding his mower around chopping down the grass.

As you can see while I was sitting on the porch the dog was sadly watching out the window.  I wish we could let him out here with us, but he just runs!  One day we’ll fix him, but right now we can’t afford it.  A lot of people say it really helps with that wanting to run.  He’s part hound dog too, so his nose is automatically to the ground sniffing away.  I mean hard almost like he is gonna snort the ground up, crazy dog.  He does that same thing in the corner of the front door too, the side where it opens.

We also noticed what appears to be strawberries and we have raspberries or blackberries too.  I haven’t walked out where those are.  Plus hubby found a huge black berry by our mailbox and they are growing over there.  I love the idea of having fruit grow here at the new place, maybe a garden would do better here.

I just hope these aren’t the infamous Mock Strawberries, which are fake strawberries and look like them.  They don’t taste good if that’s what they are.  They smell like nothing when I broke one in half and it was solid white, however it was really small.  I have never seen a real strawberry plant growing.  So I’m a bit clueless, but you live and you learn so.  I’m hoping like crazy it’s real strawberries!

What do you think? Can you tell if they are Real or Mock Strawberries? Let me know your thoughts!

I have never even heard of mock strawberries so I can’t help you out there. I used to pick raspberries in the mornings for my breakfast back when my grandparents had a summer house. There is nothing liker freshly picked raspberries-of course you kind of have to beat the birds to them!

I never heard of mock strawberry but i hope that one turns out to be real. It’s awesome having fruits around, you get to eat them free.

You have a big yard Marie! 🙂 And, lucky you for having the berries growing right in your yard. That solve the problem! 🙂
