Yummy Fruity Smoothies! #Healthy

Yummy Fruity Smoothies!

DSCF3736

So I decided to try something different and thought this frozen fruit we bought is so sour! What if I took a bottle of my Crystal Light Sweet Tea which is nice and sweet and use that for liquid in the smoothie! OMG it was so good! I couldn’t believe how great they turned out.  My son actually drank a tall glass and drank it all, then said could he have more! I was truly impressed with that as well as very happy! I want him to have better things and he is so picky sometimes it really gets on my last nerve.  he runs to garbage can at dinner and spits stuff out or he will puke.  So this seems to be a great way to get him to consume more fruit.  We used a variety of delicious fruit, it was a tropical version with mango, strawberries, pineapple, melon and something else I can’t recall.

I don’t drink smoothies but I can tell you if it didn’t taste sweet it would be down the drain in a NY minute! What a great idea to use the Crystal Lite as a liquid base! I add a package of stevia to tomato sauce when it is too bitter–it works like a charm!

I’d never thought to use the tea. My strawberry smoothies are good, but I like them a little sweeter, so I’ll usually either add a tsp of vanilla creamer or a couple packs of Splenda, and it tastes yummy!

What a great idea to make a smoothie out of frozen fruit and tea! Glad you were able to use sweet tea with your sour fruit to make it palatable.

Smoothies are an excellent way to consume lots of healthy fruits especially the sour/bitter ones that are hard to eat. Good idea using the Crystal Light Sweet Tea with it!

That is a great idea. I love the fruit smoothies and this one sounds good and even looks good. You can also add coconut water instead of yogurt too.
