How To Keep Your Energy Costs Low!

How To Keep Your Energy Costs Low!

There are lots of ways to keep your energy costs down and you can make sure to put insulation in the attics if you have them, do ducts sealing and just make sure there are no gaps or light that shows in. That will lose energy if you can see light coming through, then in the summer heat will beat in, not to mention the weather elements all together.

Just like your ducts make sure to check under the house or basement to seal any ducts that could leak your central heat and air. We have a nice high efficiency unit and we save on our air or heat. We even had a few mousers who ate through something under there and actually got in our ducts. Thankfully, it was a fast and easy fix! At our old place when we rented, the cool air and heat actually leaked out regularly cause the landlord wouldn’t fix it, needless to say we moved. Our electric bills were over $400 a month there! It’s a big drop to around $150 a month, everything in our home is electric so saving is super important!

Another suggestion to keep your home energy efficient is to simply check your windows and if a treatment of some kind is needed, get it! You’ll save money in the long run!

Saving money and saving on energy usage is a very important thing and we all need to make sure our homes are kept in an energy efficient way! Otherwise, it’s a loss of money!

Remember a home that isn’t sealed up well from the elements is like throwing your money out of the window!
