Organic Chia Seeds Review!

 83a0f69a1f476f281b7e009898ad42cabcb57d56

I absolutely love these Chia Seeds and this was the first time I have ever used them for anything.  I was a little nervous at first because I thought hmmm are these like the ChiaPet seeds? lol I have no idea. But what I do know is these are an excellent source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, they also proved a full spectrum of essential amino acids, a natural source of dietary fiber, they also have natural sources of phosphorus, magnesium calcium, iron, copper, zinc and potassium.   Oh and they’re NON-GMO! Big Bonus!

So the first thing I did was hit the internet and started searching for recipes and things I can do with these magnificent Organic Chia Seeds.  I found lots of recipes, was kinda surprised because I never really heard of these before.  So my first thought was pudding, since I seen so many recipes for different kinds of pudding using these seeds.  It’s kinda crazy because the seeds actually thicken the pudding and add a slight crunch.  Kinda cool and super tasty!  I made a pudding that was similar to a Tapioca pudding.  It was absolutely freaking amazing!  My whole family loved the pudding, they did say it was kinda weird looking though.  Who cares as long as it’s good, right?

I plan on adding some to a smoothie later to try out too.  We shall see how that comes out!

If you want some of these Organic Chia Seeds you can find them on Amazon Here!

Here is my delicious pudding! Yum! You should try this!

Want the recipe?

Ingredients:
1/2 c Organic Chia Seed
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 c boiling water
1 c heavy cream, warmed
12 packs of splenda
1/2 tsp vanilla

Put Chia seeds, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour the boiling water of the seed mixture. Add the splenda & vanilla to the cream, stir and then pour it into the Chia seed mixture and stir. Let sit for a few minutes, maybe 10 and stir again. It will thicken up. I left it in a big bowl till I dished it into the smaller dishes.

Makes 4 1/2 cup servings.
