Bringing Hope To New York City Communities!
Caring, compassionate people make the world a better place on a day-by-day basis. Unfortunately much of that is clouded by only bad news. People look on television and see all that’s wrong in the world, or they see people fighting on the Internet over one issue after another, forgetting for a moment to look at the beautiful volunteer programs that strive to bring hope and wonder to a world that’s often too focused on the bad to notice the good. Volunteers for programs like the Sing for Hope Organization work to make places like New York City a welcoming, beautiful community for people to take part in during the seasons of the year.
Creatively expanding horizons
Volunteer organizations want to make community art more accessible for the people in the community. Some people live in areas where the beauty of the arts isn’t appreciated or even visible in their world. What specific organizations like Sing for Hope do is bring art to life for the public masses to consume. One such example is their Pianos campaign, which puts on a two-week pianos display for anyone to view or access during the summer. Anyone from the five-boroughs of New York can walk straight up to one of these pianos and share their passion with an audience that’s just passing by. It brings people together and makes art a living, breathing member of the community.
Donations and drives
Fundraisers and straight donations help to fund these remarkable programs. People can count these donations as tax deductible in the case of most large art non-profits. The result is that it’s possible to give without losing much of anything while making the world a wonderful place for so many citizens of the community that don’t normally get to even see the types of gorgeous art that these exhibits put on display during their exhibitions. The volunteers of these organizations do fundraisers and get the word out about what their mission is, what they need to have to accomplish it, and then they share the results in a host of beautiful pictures from events. The pictures themselves speak a thousand words about how people in a community can change the world around them and make it beautiful even for those who don’t usually have access to this type of art exhibition. Art truly changes lives.
