Let’s Get Crafty For The Girls!

I am just SO happy about the New Poise Thin-Shaped Pads that I got this Crafty idea and my imagination is running wild! So let me tell you a little bit about this awesome product then, I’ll show you what I will do with the old products I used to use for the same thing and well they didn’t quite cut it!

So a lot of us moms and not all moms experience #LBL either after childbirth, injury, aging, etc….  It’s sad situation, but very true.  I have suffered from #LBL for years now and I have always just used my maxi’s for leakage.  Honestly those become very irritating after wearing them for a long period of time. I don’t mean the same pad, but the same type of pad.  I recently tried the the Poise Thin-Shaped Pads and well I love them! I cannot stop telling all my lady friends about them.  They’re super comfy and just so much better than them old period pads for sure! Let’s get Crafty!

So now that I have my new love of the Poise Thin-Shaped Pads what am I going to do with my old period pads? #RecycleYourPeriodPad for Crafts! Go Figure!! 🙂

So I decided to take the old period pads soft and fluffy cotton innards and use them to stuff little homemade pillows for the girls doll house.  How crafty is that?

What do you need?

  • Some material of your choice, around 12″ x  12″
  • needle and thread/you could do this with a glue gun too.
  • period pad cotton
  • scissors

Cut your cloth into small 2.5 inch by 8 inch strips and simple fold in half so it’s inside out and stitch up almost completely around the material.  Leaving a small opening turn it the right and start to stuff it.  Fold in the edges and stitch and knot up good.

I also put added the effect of buttons to my lil pillow.  Now I have to make about 6 more of these awesome lil pillows and the girls will love them! I decided to make them a blanket with the same material (no stuffing though).

Now that you know what you can do with your old period pads you can head on over to Poise and get yourself some samples to try!  You will love them, I sure do! Remember share and tell everyone because us women we need to be comfy when we have that occasional #LBL! Poise is the smartest and best choice!

WHAT IS LBL?

• One in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) – little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise.
o Weak pelvic floor muscles, pregnancy, childbirth and weight gain are just a few LBL contributors.

WHAT CAUSES LBL?

Just as no two women are alike, there’s no single reason that LBL happens. Some of the most common things that lead to uninvited leaks include:
• Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause
• Being overweight
• Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
• Bladder or urinary tract infections
• Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

HOW CAN I BEST MANAGE MY LBL?

Women deserve the best options for managing LBL. Whether you leak a little when you laugh, or sometimes have a sudden urge to go, Poise gives you one less thing to worry about any time of day or night. Our pads and liners are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice for the 1 in 3 women with light bladder leaks.
