The Pecans Should Be Falling Soon! #FreeNuts #LOL

The Pecans Should Be Falling Soon!

Myyard

I walked the yard to see which of the Pecan Trees out there are filled up with nuts.  There are five trees and 3 of them are fully loaded. I’m so excited about the Pecans falling again this year. Although two of the tree’s nuts do not look very healthy, but I’m not Pecan expert so we shall see!

I will be making some delicious stuff and I may try to make a pecan flour depending on the amount of the carbs and sugar that’s in the pecans.  I need to figure out the type of Pecans that these are.  Some are long, almost the length of my longest finger, I do have little hands though.  I’m going to pick up one of those rollers that you push around the yard and it collects the nuts. So I don’t have to break my back as much this year.

Last year I didn’t realize we had so many nuts in the main front tree, but once I noticed I didn’t stop picking them up.  I mean who would, especially if they bake!  These nuts will be just in time for the Holidays too! How cool is that? I think it’s pretty stinking cool!

In the photo above you’ll see that I also have tomatoes and different kinds of peppers growing.  Cannot wait for them to get a little bit bigger! I did get a lil pepper off one of the plants because the other peppers on it were a little funky looking and this one was good.  So I grabbed it, I think it’s a Tabasco pepper! I also have Habanero, Cayenne, Jalapeno, Bell Peppers and Hungarian Wax Peppers.

It has been over almost 20 years since I had a garden.  I didn’t plant that garden so much though, the hubby did most of it.  I couldn’t do stuff being so overweight, but I planted everything in this garden and I set it all up marked everything, started them in 50 little pots. I worked hard on my garden.  My Corn got eaten by something. I pulled approximately 5 Green Beans off the 4 plants.  The Peppers and Tomatoes seem to be the only thing going strong. Oh I do have 2 Radish plants out there too! They haven’t done anything yet though.  I think they should have produced fruit already.

Well that’s it for today and I cannot wait for the tomatoes to ripen and the peppers to grow a little more so I can reap the benefits of my hard work.  Even though it wont be nothing like if I would have planted at the right time of year. I was very late in putting my garden outside this year.  Not to mention everything you plant has different times of the year to be planted.  I am happy with the little bit we’ll receive from my little garden that should be where a flower bed would be.

What did you grow in your garden if you have one?

Enjoy!
