Mirror. Many people wonder why many elevators have mirrors. This is commonly for aesthetic purposes as well is to make the space look bigger due to reflection, which helps ‘passengers’ feel more comfortable and actually use the advantages of a mirror for its direct purpose.

Safety. Modern elevators are are equipped with video cameras these days. If they are the passengers will see the sign or the actual camera. This is a great safety feature. You are unlikely to be attacked or abused in an elevator or in worse case if something happens there will be a video record of that.

View. In newer business centers elevators are built not in the center, as it used to be, but on the sides of the building. This opens an opportunity of making the walls of glass giving a great view while coming up or down.

Extremely low level of noise. This feature is something that people don’t even think of until it’s not there. So, the idea of a comfortable ride is to keep it smooth and quiet. Any extra (loud) noises of a moving elevator scare people and lead to panic.
