Very Cool Kuler Sky Lamp 

Have you ever seen those cool lights sometimes in people’s homes through the window? Yes? You can have one and it won’t cost you an arm and leg to get one. I had an opportunity to review a lamp called Kuler Sky from BrightechShop.com and let me tell you: It’s Totally Awesome!

Assembling the lamp

So, you have your lamp unboxed and you see this very tall lamp came in such a compact box making it not seem like a lamp of that height would be in a box that small. But, it was. The lamp was pretty easy to assemble and I didn’t have to ask my husband to help me! You basically screw the poles together, screw the pole to the base of the lamp.  Let me add the base is nice and heavy, it will keep your lamp standing upright. Once you have the lamp in an upright position you can pull the cord through the last pole and screw the light fixture to the top of that pole then plug in the cord into the pole below the top and you’re good to go.  Plug in the lamp and turn it on. 

Download, Sync, Chill

Download, sync, chill is exactly what you’ll be doing. You simply go to the google play store or your apple store and download the Colorful Light app.  Install the app and when you load it up, it will ask you to connect your Bluetooth, approve that so your Bluetooth comes on.  Once it’s on you will be on a screen that has a circle with colors in it, and you’ll have a color bar across the bottom of the screen.  You can select a color there or you can adjust the colors using the color

Programming Your Lamp

One of the coolest parts of this lamp is the options available to set on your new lamp.  I set up two flashing modes, plus you can use the default flashing or gradient modes if you prefer. However, creating your own color modes are awesome!  I made a video to show you how to do just that.  The colors on the camera do not display properly. I announced the colors as I selected them. I think it had something to do with the fact I used one cell phone to record the other one.  

There are also options for turning on the sound and the light will flash to the sound in the room. How cool is that? Too cool, I know! 🙂 My son got a real kick out of when I said his name loudly and the light flashed to my voice.  If you click on the settings icon you can choose one of the four that are already there.  They have a colorful gradient, colorful flashing, random gradient, and random flashing.  Plus the two I created as well. One is called piggy and the other is called custom.
