Cream of Mushroom soup
1 1/2 boxes of baby bella mushrooms sliced
1/4 onion diced
1 1/2 sticks of real butter
5 tbsp flour
1 can chicken broth
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
6-8 splashes of Worcestershire
in a dutch oven type of pan put the butter let it melt and get hot, add cut mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Let cook until everything is tender. Add flour to the mushrooms and stir until well mixed and you see no lumps. Let cook for a minute or two then add the chicken broth stirring while adding, mix till well combined and add 1 cup of milk. Let cook and thicken add other cup of milk occasionally as it thickens to much because you need to let cook for a while. I moved to a crock pot after adding flour and liquids except the extra cup of milk. I cooked my soup for around 4 hours on low in crock pot adding that milk occasionally.
The yellowish color in the bowl of soup is a homemade cream of chicken soup. I like a little more soup than mushrooms 🙂 but it was soo good!

I’m not a fan of mushrooms but my husband is. I might have to try this for him.

How silly that I’ve never considered making homemade cream of mushroom soup. I love this!
