So I started this yummy little boneless roast, I salted and peppered it. Placed fatty side of roast down, I know a lot people say put fatty side up it moistens the meat. I normally do that, but not when I do it with this roast! I put the roast in a tin I purchased and sealed it up with foil nice and tight!
I put the oven on 190 degrees at 9:30 pm and I slept in a bit this morning forgetting I put it in the oven, so it came out of oven and straight to fridge at 11:00 am.
This is how it came out of the oven mmmmmmmmm
I took some of the juice out of pan and reserved it for making the philly stuff later mmmmm
I cant wait for dinner!!
Once this is cooled and its closer to dinner time I will slice in super thin pieces as good as a meat slicer, lol but I do it by hand. I buy cobblestone mills buns, I made’em homemade once, but they just aren’t the same!
One onion, one green pepper, 2 green onions (and sometimes fresh baby bella’s) slice and dice everything and put butter in pan and get it nice and melted hot dump in veggies and let them saute till softened
I put a dash of Worcestershire sauce in there stir it up
Add around 1/4 cup of the reserved broth
let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes
Add 2 slices of provolone cheese and just let it sit on top while simmering another 2 minutes or until it melts and stirs in
Your onion mixture will look like a yummy thick gravy but its cheesy gooey mmmmm
Now I take the broth and put it in a smaller sized frying pan
Add the meat and let it simmer should only take a few seconds really to heat it through since I sliced it so thin
Place meat on bun
Place a piece of provolone cheese on top of meat you will have to tear it in half to fit it on whole sub
Then add the toppings to the sub!
Now I like my bun cooked so I wrap my whole sandwich in wax paper and then nuke it for about 30 seconds.
That’s it you have some tasty Philly steak and cheese subs!
