Red Apple Reading Program!
First off the Red Apple Reading is an amazing program, my son has been enjoying it a bit the last week or so and it’s helping him right along. I was very excited to try them out because I have actually heard of them and kinda already figured they were everything I imagined! They have a wide variety of activities and videos (over 700). These include all kinds of fun ways to learn what’s important like sight words, vocabulary, phonics and reading comprehension. Reading comprehension was always my favorite, I wish my son liked to read as much as I did as kid. I’m working that though trying to find interesting things for him to read.
Most of you know my son had a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and he struggles with reading and is eleven years old, although he’s doing SO much Better now! One of the other cool things are you can play games and their program is aligned to the Standards of Common Core. When you join Red Apple Reading you get Members only apps too, so you can download and have your children learning on the go! Plus a big bonus is the Free Trial! You get to try them out before you actually buy so you can see if this is exactly what your child needs. To be honest it’s a Great Program and we plan on using it until my son has progressed to the end, then maybe restart again just to review!
If you have a child who struggles with reading then I would recommend this program and give it a try! You have NOTHING to lose! It’s always inspiring to find programs like these because sometimes our kids need a funner way to learn, a more animated way. Not everyone can learn by simply being shown from a book or on a chalk board. That’s why I find so much pleasure in watching my child progress and gain knowledge!
