Making beneficial changes to your blog!
We all know the routine that sometimes becomes very stressful! You are writing blog posts, then you go through the promoting your blog. We comment and leave messages on other blogs and we hope to build up our backlinks and all that cool blogger stuff, just to do it all over again tomorrow. If you are going through these stressful blogger blues?
There are some things you can do to help relieve some of that stress and just relax a bit and remember why you started blogging to begin with. For me it was about my son, I started blogging, through my pregnancy. It never ended only progressed to a much, much better blog. Blogging shouldn’t feel as if it’s overwhelming and a burden, really it should be something you are passionate about doing.
What are these changes you say? Well if you’re feeling tired, worn out, and over stressed it maybe time to change things and relieve yourself of these thorns.
Some of us tend to have a knack of finding all the sponsored posts to share, this is a good way to make money and monetize your blog. I know we all want to earn from our blogs. If you have a blog full of sponsored posts though, it may be unattractive and you can lose on good opportunities. Stop and think about what brought you to blogging in the first place. For most of us it is the love of writing, writing and more writing. Being yourself and blogging real life blog posts that are good content and can attract attention for some of these awesome opportunities that can come along.
Some of us also think we just can’t do it or compare ourselves to others. You have to stop that you are good, if you weren’t you wouldn’t be still blogging. If you’re just beginning give it time its one of my favorite past-time and is a pleasure to fill in these pages. You have to make sure and push yourself to do better, work harder on your blog posts making them content that will attract others to read it! Kinda like this one.
Another thing is that feeling jealous about other bloggers. Do not look at them as they are so lucky cause they are getting bigger or better things than you are. You should be happy for them and that’s what others should do for you as well.
We all know the old saying “A watched pot never boils”, well its the same thing when you check google analytics everyday. It can actually make it seem like you aren’t doing as good as you’d like too. Besides watching the traffic daily doesn’t boost it! That’s up to you and how you run your blog. Pick one day out of each month to check and read over your stats. You may feel better about watching the monthly grow, instead of watching it daily. You will just get frustrated if you check it daily. So keep that in mind. When I started blogging I checked my analytics daily, the realized I needed to just do this less often.
Some of us like to read blogs daily and comment on a specific amount blogs per day. If you feel like you aren’t doing enough. STOP! You do all you can! You cannot do everything, I struggle with this myself! I have to tell myself relax take a break. Just set yourself up to do the best you can everyday!
We cannot always worry about making it to the top and being #1! There is realistically so much competition. Only so many bloggers end up with exciting offers for books or to make a lot of money. Look at your accomplishments as just that and feel good about your success! Be thankful to have a great blog and enjoy the viral facebook posts, new following. Celebrate these as they are great accomplishments! You have to do something to accomplish your goals, not just talk about doing it.
Do not set yourself up for failure by saying you want to have 20 thousand new followers by the end of next year or by a set date. How are you going to do that? This is a lot of hard work. Let your social media following grow because your site is so great and others are creating a big buzz for it!
You should not fear the unknown, because you don’t know! Just feel froggy and leap, you don’t know what could be if you don’t jump in with both feet. Some people attend blog conferences and try new strategies for social media. You can open your niche up to other tops, just don’t be afraid to be different or try something new. The risk is worth the results!
What’s your thoughts on this? Leave a message if you want to add something to this!
