Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Review

Springer Mountain Farms Chicken Review!

I had the pleasure of receiving a sample of Springer Mountain Farms Chicken to try and write a review about it.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the package it was huge and heavy! I was like ohh wow what did they send?

Springer Mountain Farms Package

I have to admit I saved the cooler and the ice packs they are so big and thick and who don’t need a good cooler?  So the package included 2 packs of Boneless Breasts, 2 packs of sliced thin Boneless Breast and 2 whole chickens!

Springer Mountain Farms

When I opened the package of chicken I was absolutely shocked! Why you ask? Because there was no smell! Normally when I buy chicken at the grocery store (other brands) I have to wash the chicken because the smell is gross.  Not old or rotten but gross, I was actually told when ask it was because it sat in its own blood! SO I was EXTREMELY Impressed with the smell of Springer Mountain Farms chicken.  I do not think I will be buying any other brand!

Springer Mountain Farms

I already knew that I wanted to make some Shish Kabobs and so I thought what a perfect chance to try some delicious natural grain fed chicken to make them.   So I used the Boneless Breasts and I chopped in to chunks as close to the same size as possible and I soaked them for about four hours in Zesty Italian Dressing.  I skewered them with onions, mushrooms and green peppers.  We cooked them on our old grill and they turned out so good!

Springer Mountain Far

My husband loved these! The chicken was so Juicy and delicious!

I also knew I wanted to roast a bird in the oven, so we had chicken for 3 days in a row and it was good! I took the whole chicken and I rinsed it under water, removed gizzards and patted dry with paper towel.  I stuffed the bird with mushrooms, onions and green peppers and seasoned well.  I always put carrots under my birds or roasts they make a great rack and they end up flavored so good!  I must say I was so please with how delicious once again this chicken is!  How does this plate of food look to you? I can tell you it tasted even better than it looked!

Springer Mountain Farms

Look how tender and juicy this looks and is!

Now my son does not like when I roast a bird and make stuffing, gravy and potatoes.  So I took a piece of the thin sliced Boneless Chicken Breast and I beat it thin as I can with out splitting it apart.  I used some left over spaghetti sauce and I made him a piece of Chicken Parmesan.

Springer Mountain Chicken

I was thinking what can I make for us now?  So I thought and thought, then came here to my site and looked up the fajita seasoning recipe and made double the recipe (stored some).  I sliced all the thin sliced Boneless Breast, I cut up some onion and green peppers and made the most wonderful fajita’s! Take a look at how this chicken turned out.

Springer Mountain Farms

I can’t even begin to tell you how tasty this was because there are no words.  My taste buds screamed when I ate this delicious chicken fajita meat! I mean it was really good.  I can say this I will only buy Springer Mountain Farms from now on.

Why should we all buy Chicken from Springer Mountain Farms? Well, their chickens are 100% ALL NATURAL, NO Antibiotics, No Growth Stimulants or Hormones!  They never feed their chickens any Animal By-products, they have fresh mountain water, and they receive a vegetarian diet with natural vitamins and minerals!  I think this is probably the most nutritional chicken around!

They have also received the Certification by the American Feed Industry Associate for Safe Feed/Safe Food!

Just checked their website and found out I can buy this in a Food Lion near me! Can’t wait to try it myself. It’s so hard to find meat that is natural and hormone-free.

Wow that is an impress amount of chicken you received. I love all the different things you did with the chicken but my favorite tip is the carrots under the chicken. I have never thought of doing that before but I am going to try this soon.

I thought I am the only one who thinks that chicken smells. I thought sometimes that they are bad. I have tried buying different brand and most of the time, they still smell. I would love to try this brand of chicken.

I am gonna try your recipe ideas. I love chicken but I could use some help with cooking it. Cleaning it is kinda nasty, I will see in a few weeks when I go back to the store if they have this brand. All of it looks really good! Have a good monday.

Hi. Can you tell me what temperature you roasted the chicken on and for how long? Thank you in advance for your help.

The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees for both light and dark meats.

For cooking a chicken, I usually roast it at 375 degrees and 25 minutes per pound. (unless I forget about it! LOLOL I’ve done it)

Chicken, whole; 4 to 8 pound, 375 degrees 20 to 30 min per lb

I get all my meat cooking info from https://www.foodsafety.gov/keep/charts/meatchart.html

    Thanks! 🙂

PS I sent you an email as well.

I bought a bag of Springer Mountain Farms Buffalo chicken wings at Ingles Supermarket here in Weaverville, NC. The bag said they were processed by Tysons. I fixed one meal out of them and couldn’t eat them. I called Ingles and they said the reason they were marked down was to try and get rid of them before the date ran out on them because they had quit selling. I had already threw my ticket away so couldn’t take them back. So I had to throw over $10.00 worth of wings out. I’ll buy my hot buffalo wings at ALDI where I had been buying them before.

oh wow, that sucks. I don’t buy anything flavored or seasoned. I do that myself so I haven’t had any experience with their buffalo chicken wings, nor did I even know they existed. I would have contacted the company on the package. I’m sure they’d be happy to fix things. Most companies are, they want you to come back. but you do whatever you chose. 🙂
